Anju's leap into Indian history

Anju Bobby George's 6.70-metre jump at the World athletics championships was a giant leap for Indian sport.

The 25-year-old long jumper became the first Indian to win a world championship medal with a bronze medal in Paris on August 30.

She is already being hailed as one of India's greatest athletes ever.
