Hicham El Guerrouj won his fourth men's 1,500 metres crown at the World Athletic Championships.
The 28-year-old Moroccan now aims for a historic double when he competes in the 5,000 metres. No athlete has ever won both distances at one major event since the Flying Finn, Paavo Nurmi, at the 1924 Paris Olympics.
