Paes, Bhupathi win: mixed doubles

Leander Paes and Lisa Raymond joined Mahesh Bhupathi and Elena Likhovtseva in the fourth round of the mixed doubles at Wimbledon on Monday.

In their second round matches, fourth seeds India's Mahesh Bhupathi and Elena Likhovtseva of Russia got the better of Andrew Kratzmann of Australia and Magui Serna of Spain 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 while sixth seeds Paes of India and Raymond of the United States beat Max Mirnyi of Belarus and Martina Navratilova of the United States 6-3, 6-4.

The Indo-Russian pair, who had reached the semi-finals of this year's French Open, had defeated Scott Humphries of USA and Anne-Gaelle Sidot of France 6-4, 6-4 in the first round.

Paes and Raymond had beaten Marius Barnard of South Africa and Caroline Vis of Holland 6-2, 6-1 in the first round.

In the junior boys' first round action, India's Sunil Sipaeya defeated Craig Evans of Britain in straight sets 6-4, 6-4.
