PIX: India goes back to school in the shadow of COVID-19

As a number of governments allow schools to be reopened in their respective states, here's a look at how the first day at school in the times of the COVID-19 pandemic looks like

Schools in Uttar Pradesh reopen for classes 1 to 5 from today, following COVID0-19 protocols; visual from City Montessori School, Station Road Campus in Lucknow.
"We see a lot of enthusiasm in students to attend physical classes after a long time," says principal Deepali Gautam. 

In the national capital classes begin for students of class 9 to 12, starting today; A school warden checks the temperature of students outside Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Pusa Road.
Kumkum, a class 10 student says, "There is no doubt that there is a sense of fear but after all, we've to study and sit for exams."

 

COVID-appropriate measures put in place at Kanpur schools ahead of reopening of primary classes from today. Here's how Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir is geared up to welcome its students. 

 

"Physical classes are way better than online classes. All of my friends were waiting for this day," says a class 12 student from Delhi's Rajkiya Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in West Vinod Nagar.
