Pak blames India for failure of talks
Pakistan Foreign Secretary Shamshad Ahmed says the third round of Indo-Pak talks remained inconclusive because New Delhi had resiled from the agreement set out in the second round of talks in June.
Addressing the media on his return to Islamabad after the bilateral
talks in New Delhi, Ahmed said Pakistan cannot ''compromise on its
principled position that Jammu and Kashmir was the main problem affecting our region."
Ahmed expressed the hope that the September 23 meeting between the two countries's
prime ministers in New York would give an impetus to the Indo-Pak dialogue.
