Mishra surrenders before CBI court

Former Bihar chief minister and senior Congress leader Jagannath Mishra on Tuesday surrendered before the designated Central Bureau of Investigation court in connection with the Rs 9.5 billion fodder scam.

Mishra surrendered before special judge S K Lal at around 1115 hours in connection with case number RC 20(A)/96 dealing with the conspiracy angle.

The CBI court later sent Mishra to judicial custody in the Beur central jail and directed the jail superintendent to produce him on September 19.
