The duration of the parade this year, for instance, will be shorter -- from 115 minutes to nearly 90 minutes.
Elaborate security arrangements have been in place across the country for the Republic Day celebrations with police in the national capital and neighbouring states keeping an eye out on “drones”, which have been perceived as a major threat.
