Kashmir: Two jawans arrested with fake currency

Two jawans of Territorial Army were arrested and fake currency worth Rs 1.70 lakh was recovered from their possession in Poonch district, police said on Monday.

Acting on a tip off, police took the two jawans into custody near Kalai bridge, about 230-kms from Jammu, late on Sunday evening and recovered Rs 1.70 lakh of fake currency, they said.

The jawans have been identified as Mohammad Aslam and Inayat Hussain, they said, adding a case has been registered against them and further investigations were going on.
