Sonia back in Parliament after two weeks

Congress President Sonia Gandhi was back in Parliament on Monday after two weeks. She had been to the United States, attending to her octogenarian ailing mother.

The party MPs made a beeline to her seat in the Lok Sabha to greet her while she met some party leaders in her Parliament House chamber later.

Since her chamber is on the other side of the Central Hall close to the Rajya Sabha, she could be seen walking briskly, with her MP son Rahul Gandhi in tow, to avoid any MPs sitting in the Central Hall rush to her to speak.
