What's Inside The Republic Day Invitation Box?

The Rashtrapati Bhavan has invited guests from across India and abroad to attend the Republic Day parade on January 26, 2025, with a specially curated invitation package showcasing unique handicrafts from south India.

Bamboo box with Kalamkari motifs

The recyclable invitation box is crafted from bamboo and adorned with Kalamkari art, a traditional textile painting technique from Andhra Pradesh.

Pochampally Ikat, Telangana

Pochampally is renowned for its Ikat technique of weaving, with unique motifs and colours. The box's removable fabric base can be reused as a roll-up pencil pouch.
