Ramana Maharshi’s main method of teaching method was self-inquiry as a means to understanding the mind and achieve self realisation. He would ask himself, 'Who am I?' and focus on the feeling of 'I' or 'I am' until he found the answer.

Ramana Maharishi said the true self is consciousness, bliss, and absolute reality. 'The Self is always here, but it's hidden by the mind' was something he believed in.
