Priya Rajvansh case: Anand
brothers granted bail

The Bombay high court on Friday granted bail to Ketan and Vivek Anand, sons of noted filmmaker late Chetan Anand, undergoing sentence of life imprisonment on charges of conspiracy to murder former actress Priya Rajvansh.

Justices G D Patil and S K Shah agreed to release them on payment of Rs 50,000 each as surety. Both have been warned not to leave the country without permission of the court.

The judges were hearing an appeal filed by the duo against their conviction.

The sessions court had on July 31 convicted the Anand brothers and their servants Mala Choudhary and Ashok Chinnaswamy of murdering Priya Rajvansh.

Priya, a close friend of Chetan Anand, was found murdered in the Juhu bungalow of the late filmmaker.
