The Bhartiya Janata Party on Friday said the President's address to Parliament supposed to enumerate government's priorities was the first disappointment and the second disappointment came in the prime minister's reply to the debate on the motion of thanks of the President's address.

The opposition's hopes of Dr Manmohan Singh laying down the government's roadmap for resolving problems facing the country, that were missing in the President's address were dashed as he did not provide any direction, Rajya Sabha opposition leader Arun Jaitley told a press conference in New Delhi.

Jaitley said the government was not interested in tackling serious problems like the price rise and increasing Naxal violence. He said the opposition was also disappointed on an evasive explanation on why India is talking to Pakistan despite it doing nothing to control terrorism.
