Two terrorists were mauled to death and another seriously wounded after a bear attacked their hideout in a forest area in south Kashmir, a senior police officer said. He said the bear as per the intercepts of militants attacked a hideout of the Hizbul Mujaheedin outfit in the forest area near Damhal Hanjipora in south Kashmir Shopian district.

"The bear attacked the hideout where four terrorists were hiding. While two died on the spot another was critically wounded and he fled along with other militant who escaped the predator's assault," Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Farooq Ahmad said in Srinagar on Monday evening.

The bodies of the two militants were recovered by the security forces who identified them as Saifullah and Kaiser both belonging to Hizbul Mujaheedin.
