The murder case of Naushad Kasim, lawyer of Rashid Malabari has taken an interesting turn with a senior advocate lodging a complaint against the police itself.

In a complaint lodged before the Circle Inpsector of Pandeshwar in Mangalore, senior advocate Purushotham Poojary stated that certain policemen were behind the killing of Naushad. In his complaint he has named circle inspector Venkatesh Prasanna, Deputy

Commissioner of Police Jayanth Shetty and another Circle Inspector, Valentine D'souza.

After lodging the complaint Poojary said the police killed Naushad since he had taken up several sensitive cases involving police atrocities. He also said that Naushad was a brilliant boy having good knowledge of the law. "If the police fail to act on my complaint then there are various other forums where I can redress my grievance," Poojary said.
