Laloo's anticipatory bail plea rejected

The designated CBI court on Wednesday rejected Bihar Chief Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav's anticipatory bail application in the Rs 9.5 billion fodder scam.

The court also rejected the anticipatory bail applications of state Animal Husbandry Minister Bhola Ram Toofani, Labour Minister Vidyasagar Nishad and former Union minister Chandradev Prasad Verma.

CBI Special Judge S J Lal said prima facie charges were found against all the four accused. Judge Lal said Laloo Yadav, Nishad, Toofani and Verma seemed to be involved in the fodder scam conspiracy.
