Khalistanis still haunt Punjab

After years being an insurgency-ridden state, Punjab is now one of the most developed states in the country. The Khalistan movement and the Sikh Insurgency still have their bearing on Punjab politics with many groups like the Babbar Khalsa targetting politicians in the state. Former Chief Minister Beant Singh was assasinated in a bombing by sikh terrorists.
