Advani's bouquet of promises at Chithradurga

April 7, 2009
Promises, more promises and no mention of any local problems daunting the biggest parliamentary constituency in Karnataka, Chithradurga. This is how one could sum up the brief 20 minute address of the Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate, Lal Krishna Advani at Chithradurga on Tuesday.

Speaking before a 30,000 crowd, Advani assured that corruption would be wiped out from the country. The BJP if voted to power will introduce e governance effectively so that the entire system becomes transperent. Prior to releasing our manifesto, the BJP had published a paper on the same issue and I assure we will abide by it, Advani said.
