'We walk in Ambedkar's footsteps'

April 5, 2009
"They will tell you bad things and wrong things about our party. We are not against any caste or against any religion. We walk in the footsteps of Ambedkar. We want to establish a society where all are equal," the Uttar Pradesh chief minister said.

"Please think about these points when you are voting. Give us maximum seats so that we can rule at the Centre. We will eliminate poverty and provide jobs to all. We will try our best to eliminate Naxalism and terrorism.

"Do not believe the manifestos of any party. They are the same promises in every election. After elections they throw them in the trash can. They will promise cheap rice and atta. But you will never get cheap rice or atta," she added.
