Bihar's fast-track justice

Pappu Yadav, MP from Madhepura, currently lodged in Tihar jail in New Delhi, was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Communist Party of India-Marxist leader Ajit Sarkar.

While Sahabuddin, who is lodged in Siwan jail, has been convicted in seven criminal cases and sentenced to life imprisonment.

Sunil Pandey was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment in kidnapping of a noted neurosurgeon in Patna and Munna Shukla was sentenced to life imprisonment in murder of then Gopalganj DM G Krishnaiah.

Anand Mohan was convicted and awarded capital punishment in murder of G Krishnaiah.
