Super Thursday

July 17, 2008
Over half a million people thronged Sydney's streets for the Pope's first public appearance on Thursday since his arrival.

The local media rightly termed the frenzy and celebrations as 'Super Thursday' -- when Pope Benedict left his suburban retreat and traveled to St Mary's Cathedral -- Australia's largest church.

World Youth Day is considered to be an invitation from the Pope to the youth of the world to celebrate their faith.
