It may be noted that Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf had, in the past, stated that the Al Qaeda supreme had been suffering from a kidney problem.
'Osama bin Laden is most likely dead, because he has not been able to get treatment for his kidney disease. I think now, frankly, he is dead,' Musharraf had been quoted by CNN in January 2002.
