Maitree Express rolls into Bangladesh

April 14, 2008
"It really feels great to travel to my native land by this train," he says.

His wife is no less excited. She just can't wait to dig into mouth-watering hilsa that her extended family will serve her tonight.

"I would have granted Bangladesh a Nobel Prize only for its fish," she quips, her husband smiling indulgently.

As the train reaches Ranaghat, close to the Indian border of Gede, breakfast is served and the Mazumdars get busy helping themselves.
