External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee and US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice met in New York and reviewed bilateral relations across "a gamut of items of cooperation" and discussed international issues of concern.
It was a "good meeting," Mukherjee said after parleys that stretched for 45 minutes on Wednesday.
The two leaders expressed satisfaction at the growing bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields between two countries.
A press release issued by the Indian Permanent Mission in New York after the meeting, held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly session, did not say whether Indo-US nuclear deal came in for discussion.
At the meeting, "the two leaders reviewed bilateral relations across the gamut of items of cooperation. They also considered the international situation and exchanged view on issues of concern," the release said.
