The Rajasthan High Court on Friday allowed film star Salman Khan [Images], who is out on bail after his conviction in a chinkara poaching case, to go to Austria and the Czech Republic for filming feature film Yuvraj.

Justice H R Panwar, while considering the application filed on behalf of Salman, granted him the permission to visit Austria from September 13 to 30 and the Czech Republic from October 1 to 15 for the shoot of the Mukta Arts' [Get Quote] upcoming movie, said H M Saraswat, counsel for Salman.

Additional Advocate General Kantilal Thakur opposed the actor's plea contending that the documents submitted along with the application seeking permission for foreign visits were not supported by any affidavit.

The high court, after hearing both sides, granted permission to the film star to go abroad for the shoot, Saraswat added.

A sessions court had upheld on August 24 a trial court verdict sentencing Salman to five years' imprisonment for killing a chinkara in 1998 during the shoot of the film Hum Saath Saath Hain.
