Three militants were gunned down after the police foiled a suicide attack on the army's divisional headquarters in Kupwara district on Thursday.
Intercepting a message that the militants were planning to carry out a suicide attack on the army's divisional headquarters of the 28th division, the police swung into action and engaged a group of three militants in a gun battle, a police spokesman said.
All the three ultras were killed by the police party, he added.
