Dalai Lama in Australia
June 06, 2007

The Dalai Lama is in Australia.

On a 11-day tour down under, the exiled Tibetan leader has been advocating that people should take great care of the nature.

Addressing a gathering in Perth, he said humans wrongly think they can control nature when in fact humanity and the environment were interdependent.

He said people around the world had a moral responsibility to preserve the planet's natural resources for the benefit of future generations.

The comments of the Dalai Lama, who also touched upon topics like poverty and peace, come even as world leaders assembled to deliberate on similar issues in Germany [Images].
