The Bihar government is considering the recommendation of state Advocate-General P K Sahi to appeal against the December 18 order of the special court acquitting Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife and former chief minister Rabri Devi in a Disproportionate Assets case.
"I have recommended to the state government to appeal in the Patna high court against the order of the special court acquitting Lalu Prasad and his wife in the DA case, which was an offshoot of the multi-crore fodder scam," Sahi said on Thursday.
The Central Bureau of Investigation, probing the fodder scam cases, on the other hand has not made its stand clear as to whether the agency would appeal in the superior court.
When approached by mediamen, Lalu Prasad refused to comment saying, "I don't know what is being cooked up (by the state government)."
