A Junior Commissioned Officer of the Army was killed and two jawans were injured during an encounter with militants at Kandi forest area of bordering Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir, official spokesman said on Wednesday.
Naib Subedar of 60 Rashtriya Rifles died while two soldiers of a search party were injured when some militants, who were hiding, fired on them at midnight on Tuesday.
The Army also retaliated but the militants escaped from the site after the encounter, he added.
