Lakhs pay homage to Dr Ambedkar on death anniversary

Every year, hundreds of thousands of Dalits and followers visit Chaityabhoomi near Shivaji Park, to pay homage to Dr Ambedkar. This is the place where Dr Ambedkar was cremated.
The police have stepped up security in view of the huge turnout of people from all over India. Although no unpleasant incidents have been reported on this occasion in the past, the police force left nothing to chance.
