Hugo Chavez 'loses' by a whisker
December 03, 2007
Chavez asked his supporters to not feel sad, stating that there were only microscopic differences between the 'yes and no options'.
Chavez's opponents fear that the referendum indicates a move towards dictatorship.
But his supporters believe that he would have used the reforms to deepen grass-roots democracy and spread the oil-rich nation's wealth equitably.
