The Delhi High Court Monday stayed proceedings initiated by the Enforcement Directorate against former external affairs minister Natwar Singh and his son Jagat Singh in a case of alleged violation of the Foreign Exchange Management Act.

A bench of Justices T S Thakur and Kailash Gambhir restrained the ED from going ahead with proceedings against them till further orders.

The bench reserved its order on their petition that they should be supplied with all documents relating to the Iraq oil-for-food scam.

The ED had initiated proceedings against the two for alleged violation of the act.

Natwar Singh and his son had challenged the single bench order of the court which had declined to provide all the documents on the scam to them.
