The Saudi Arabian government gears up, every year, for the influx of Hajjis.

Months earlier, preparations are on to accommodate and ensure the safety of the thousands who start arriving daily from December and provide facilities at Mecca ranging from barbers to street cleaners to transportation. This year, four-wheel motorcycle ambulances have been introduced to transport ill or injured pilgrims to hospitals from the tightly-packed camp areas.
