Karzai meets his own

Afghan President Hamid Karzai (L) greets fellow Afghans at the inaugural session of the Afghanistan Festival in India  in New Delhi.

Karzai, who is on a four day state visit, earlier met senior Indian officials including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images]. While India announced an additional Indian aid package of $50 million for Afghanistan, taking the total $650 million, Karzai pledged to fight terrorism with India. He also promised to take up the issue of allowing transit facilities for Indian goods to Afghanistan through Pakistan with president Pervez Musharraf [Images] again.
