India will soon undertake training of some 400 Sri Lankan policemen at a cost of Rs 20 million, the Indian High Commission said on Tuesday."The courses would translate into reality a commitment made by India at the meeting in Colombo in June 2005 of the bilateral Joint Commission headed by the External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh and the late Sri Lankan Foreign Minister, Lakshman Kadirgamar," the high commision here said in a statement. The statement said officers would be trained in batches in advanced techniques of crime investigation and scientific aids to investigation including of cyber crimes and bank frauds.
