The J M Group committee was formed when a bunch of students from Bharat English School wanted to keep the bond of togetherness alive even after passing out of school.

The J M Group's Ganesh idol is made of fibre and it is not immersed. After the festival, the idol is kept in the J M Mandir. Every year, the organisers bring one small idol for the puja. After the festival, this small idol is immersed.

The idol is decked up with 15 kg of silver ornaments - the crown and necklace. This year, Ganesh sports a 20 gm gold ring as well.

The organisers also arrange blood donation camps and tree plantation ceremonies.
