Government would ensure safety of all Indian people working in Afghanistan, Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed told reporters in New Delhi. "Government has done everything it can to rescue Kutty but unfortunately we could not save his life," he said.
Ruling out any laxity on the part of the government, he said necessary steps were taken in consultation with Afghanistan administration to ensure security of Indians working on various reconstruction projects in Afghanistan.
