Princess Diana rated Prince Charles as a lowly one out of ten between the sheets, according to excerpts of a new book published in a tabloid on Wednesday.
Simone Simmons, author of the new book Diana: The Last Word, claimed Diana gave marks to all her lovers - with John F Kennedy junior getting the full ten, James Hewitt, her riding instructor, nine and Oliver Hoare, a married art dealer, six.
She said the Princess described Charles's love-making technique as: "Roll on, roll off, go to sleep," The Sun tabloid said.
Simone said Diana took Hewitt as a lover in desperation at Charles's lack of interest in her. But Hewitt started treating her like a "sex slave" and eventually Diana realised that "his heart was inside his trousers". Diana, according to the author, said Charles 'had no clue as to a woman's geography.'
Had Diana been older and more experienced she might have known how to deal with that. However, she was a 20-year-old virgin when she wed Charles and by the time she realized what was missing, their relationship was so disaffected that reconciliation was impossible, the book claimed. Simone said on their honeymoon, Diana became convinced that Charles had spent the night before the wedding with Camilla.
It was an inauspicious start to a marriage that was running into problems even before it had properly begun.
