Schools in Nagapattinam to remain closed

Schools in the Nagapattinam district have been closed 'till further orders' as temporary camps for victims of tsunami disaster have been set up in the buildings, a senior district official said on Tuesday.


Majority of the tsunami victims were staying in schools in the district and until they returned to their native places, the institutions would remain closed, he told reporters.
