A month after Bollywood actress Parveen Babi died without making a proper will, the Bombay high court on Friday allowed the Administrator General of Maharashtra, M K Patil, to take charge of her properties.
Justice S K Shah admitted the petition filed by Patil, seeking court's permission to collect and hold the properties of the actress in keeping with his powers under Section 10 of the Administrator General Act.
Patil said so far no one had come forward to stake claim to Babi's properties, which included a posh terrace flat in suburban Juhu.
The actress, who was very popular in the 70s, was found dead in her Juhu flat in Mumbai on January 22.
