Bush cousins launch pro-Kerry Web site

Agencies | October 26, 2004 10:13 IST

'Because blood is thinner than oil'

This is the motto of seven distant relatives of US President George W Bush who don't want Americans to vote for their cousin.

The seven, who support Democratic challenger John Kerry, have created a Web site -- www.bushrelativesforkerry.com -- to spread the message.

They launched the site in September to 'speak out about why we are voting for John Kerry, and to do our small part to help America heal from the sickness it has suffered since George Bush was appointed president in 2000'.

They are all grandchildren of Mary Bush House, the sister of Prescott Bush, who was the father and grandfather of the two Bush presidents.
