The Heart to Heart Counselling Centre has been conducting a part-time certificate course for sex educators in Mumbai. Each course, which consists of nine sessions, is conducted on weekends. The next course begins on July 17. There will be separate batches in English and Marathi.

This certificate course for sex educators is designed to train those who are keen to learn how to impart sound and scientific knowledge about human sexuality to the youth of today. It is open for teachers, counsellors, doctors, social workers, psychologists, trainers, health workers and parents of growing children.

In present times, when HIV/AIDS is posing a threat to the very survival of mankind, sex education has become a necessary tool in combating this looming challenge.

This programme aims at creating a core group of aware adults who are trained in conducting sex education programmes/ workshops/ classes, etc, at schools, colleges and at the community level.
