Another World Unfolds in Mumbai
It was a heady mix. Music from the world, protestors of all hues, activists of various kinds and a sprinkling of Nobel Laureates and Magsaysay Award winners threw open the biggest global gathering of those wanting a new world order.
The event was the World Social Forum and the venue suburban Goregaon in Mumbai. More than 100,000 people of different nationalities and cultures watched the carnival unfold and take on the multinational corporations and western governments for their 'greed and apathy' towards poorer people.
