The IAF fielded its mainstay, the much-maligned MiG-21, too. Also there were the Mirages. However, the Su-30MKIs did not take part in the exercise.

Among those who flew the upgraded MiG-21s side by side the Americans was Wing Commander N Harish, the man who took George Fernandes on a flight last year to silence the critics of the world's most flown fighter.
