"I have told the President that the governor has failed to perform his constitutional duty. He is targeting Bihar keeping in mind the coming Lok Sabha polls," Yadav told reporters after the meeting.

Accusing the governor of singing the Sangh Parivar tune, the former Bihar chief minister said he urged the President to issue the recall order as soon as possible.

Earlier in the day, the matter figured in the Rajya Sabha with the opposition demanding a statement from the government.
