Three killed, over 40 injured in bomb explosions in Assam

At least three people were feared killed and over 40 injured in bomb explosions carried out by United Liberation Front of Asom militants in various parts of Assam on Tuesday.
In central Assam's Morigaon, at least two persons were feared dead and 22 injured in an explosion in the town's busy market area. The injured were taken to the Morigaon civil hospital.
The police and the army have cordoned off the entire area, which is only metres away from the offices of the deputy commissioner and the superintendent of police.
One more person was killed and 16 others hurt in another blast in the Haibargaon market complex of Nagaon township, again in central Assam.
According to the police, the powerful bomb was planted in a bicycle.
The injured were rushed to the Nagaon civil hospital. Some of them are said to have suffered serious injuries.
Two people, including a security men, were injured when ULFA militants lobbed a grenade when forces were frisking vehicles near the Anuraddha cinema hall in the city.
According to another report, one person was injured in a bomb blast near the Congress Bhavan under Chhabua police station in Tinsukia district.
The police said the bomb was of mild intensity.
