Public Prosecutor Prasant Sathianathan did not oppose their bail plea.

Earlier in the day, Judicial Magistrate First Class R N Mehre had remanded the women -- Anjane Bai, Leela, Bhagiradi Bai, Savita and Pinki -- to judicial custody.

Akku Yadav was lynched by a mob led by chilli-powder wielding women in a courtroom.

The accused are all residents of the Kasturba Nagar, where Akku Yadav had unleashed a rein of terror.
