Kuldeep Kaur, wife of an assistant linesman of the Punjab State Electricity Board and a resident of Dhaleke village in Moga, has won the Rs 1.5 crore Punjab State Baissakhi Bumper lottery.

Kuldeep said she was confident she would win, and added that her family believed in the Punjab lotteries' slogan -- 'Kismat paar wishwas, kal karodon honge aap ke paas.'

She said that she was informed on Thursday afternoon by a lottery agent of the draw.

Her husband said the family would spend at least Rs 200,000 marrying poor girls of the village.

The couple also wants to donate at least Rs 1.5 lakh to a religious organisation.
