Special fishing trawlers have been made available to enable devotees to ferry bigger idols to deep waters for the immersion while volunteers offer drinking water, snacks and first aid all through the route.
This Ganapati idol was housed in a pandal that recreated the famous Akshardham temple in Gujarat that was attacked by terrorists last September.
