The policemen unclog all major roads leading to the main immersion points -- Juhu beach, Chowpatty, Shivaji Park.

The devotees are busy having fun. With saffron bandanas adorning their heads and vermilion smeared over their foreheads many dance to remix bhajans.

Specially hired bands also play film music to match the jovial mood.

From Nare Park Mandal in Parel, the Mee Mumbaikar Ganapati emerged to loud recorded music, gulal (coloured powder) and multihued confetti.
